Understanding Behaviour: Molecular, Cellular and Systems Approaches

The relevance and interest for the study of behaviour in the basic and applied neuroscience fields has constantly increased in the last decades. This is because behavioural responses are the ultimate output, and thus a readout, of brain activity and more and more powerful and sophisticated phenotyping approaches are available. In addition, novel theoretical frameworks propose behaviour as a privileged level of control and orchestration of brain activity. Therefore, the field of behavioural neuroscience is in rapid expansion and evolution.

The European Brain and Behaviour Society (EBBS), European Behavioural Pharmacology Society (EBPS), European Molecular and Cellular Cognition Society (EMCCS) and International Behavioural and Neural Genetics Society (IBANGS) have jointly organized a mini conference titled Understanding Behaviour: Molecular, Cellular and Systems Approaches to describe the most innovative theoretical and technical advancements in the field. This will be a satellite event of the 2022 FENS Forum that will bring together established leaders and early career researchers for a day of amazing science and networking opportunities.

Conference organizers: Igor Branchi (EBBS), Alexander Easton (EBBS), Anand Gururajan (EBPS), Christelle Baunez (EBPS), Yavin Shaham (EBPS), Kobi Rosenblum (EMCCS), Andre Fischer (EMCCS), Camron Bryant (IBANGS), Wim Crusio (IBANGS), Anna Delprato (IBANGS).
