My research is focused on the reward system of the brain. My laboratory uses genetically modified mice with selective ablations of glutamate receptors in monoaminergic or dopaminocetpive neurons to test behaviors that model reinforcement, assess executive functions or resemble symptoms of affective disorders. We are also interested in the mechanism of action of psychotropic drugs, in particular the role of drug-induced gene expression in neurons.
